Steel & Re-rolling — MHM Engineering

KSRM, Abul Khair, Rahim Steel, KY Steel and Muntaha run MHM cooling on furnaces and rolling mills where a cooling failure means a frozen furnace lining or a scrapped billet. The duty is brutal: 24-hour operation, scale-forming water, dust and 50 °C ambient near the furnace.

We supply closed-loop induction-furnace cooling with soft water, plate heat exchangers and stainless pumps; open-circuit FRP or concrete towers for mill and hydraulic cooling; softeners and DM plants; and the panels and VFDs that run them — with spares and AMC crews used to working around a hot shop.

Questions

Common questions from steel & re-rolling plants

Induction coils run hot and narrow; hardness above 50 ppm scales them within months and cuts melt rate. A softener plus closed loop keeps the coil clean and the PHE takes the tower-side fouling instead.

With two cells or a standby cell, yes — we design the header so one cell is isolated for cleaning while the loop runs on the other.
